Letterkenny Golf Course

Conveniently located just over 2km from the hotel, it is only a 5 minute drive to Letterkenny Golf Club. Recently redesigned and reopened, the Letterkenny course is one of the finest parkland courses in Ireland and the lakeside location creates some challenging natural water hazards. Our insider tip is big hitters will do well on this course.

Rosapenna Golf Course

Almost right at the tip of Donegal (approx. 37km drive), Rosapenna offers two world class courses in one stunning location. Play either the century old classic Old Tom Morris Links or the Sandy Hills Links, designed by international links master Pat Ruddy. Both courses have fantastic costal views and make excellent use of the natural terrain.

Portsalon Golf Club

One of the original Irish Links courses, Portsalon was redesigned in 2000, also by Pat Ruddy but with advice from Paul McGinley. The unspoilt links course on the banks of Lough Swilly includes sandy beaches and parkland against the dramatic backdrop of the Knockalla mountains. The course is approximately 40 minutes drive (33km) due north from the Clanree Hotel.
